Our project Mundane Manarah was featured in issue 102 of Topos Magazine, dedicated to the theme “Darkness”, and included in the chapter Arabian Nightscapes.
This chapter, explores how urban life in the Arabian Peninsula shifts into the night due to extreme daytime heat. Rather than resisting darkness, public spaces are designed to work with it through minimal lighting and adaptive strategies. It presents an alternative to Western urbanism, where the night becomes the primary stage for social life.
Topos Magazine is an international publication dedicated to landscape architecture, urbanism, and territorial planning. Known for its critical and interdisciplinary approach, the magazine features projects, ideas, and trends shaping contemporary cities and landscapes around the world.
